I help UX designers learn how to think  not just how to design.

I've been a UX architect at Cybage in Pune since 2006, working on enterprise software, mobile products, and everything in between.

 

This site is where I write down what I've learned: practical knowledge, clear frameworks, and lessons from real projects rather than from conference slides.

My focus is on fundamentals. Strong process thinking outlasts every tool you'll learn.

How I think about UX

Good UX isn't about tools or trends. In practice it comes down to four things:

• Understand people before you touch an interface.

• Solve the right problem first.

• Make intentional, simple decisions.

• Choose clarity over complexity.

If a design needs explaining, it isn't finished.

UX, Process Thinking & AI

AI is changing how we design, and the fundamentals matter more because of it, not less.

​

Most of what I write on this now comes down to three questions:

• How do you use AI as a support tool rather than a shortcut?

• How do you apply human-centred thinking to AI-driven products?

• What makes a designer stay valuable when the tools keep changing?

 

I don't have complete answers. I have 20 years of watching tools change and the thinking stay the same.

Outside work

I take photographs, take apart gadgets, and pay far too much attention to how everyday systems work - ticket machines, forms, queues, signage. It's the same habit as design work: noticing patterns, questioning decisions, asking why something was built this way.
